for anyone saying “at least it gets recycled” it actually breaks the recycling loop. PET bottles can be recycled back into bottles multiple times, but once they’re turned into polyester clothing, they become far harder to recycle again, shed microplastics, and usually end up in landfill anyway.

Yes recycling is good but why are my lululemon leggings $128. Polyester clothes should be under $30 or $40 at most. I’ll only ever buy nice organic clothes like cotton, wool, cashmere for $70+ not plastic
