There’s some interesting research coming out about creatine and endometriosis, especially for those of us who take creatine regularly. A few studies have found that creatine may help endometriosis cells survive, resist cell death, and potentially contribute to lesion growth. Before everyone throws out their creatine, it’s important to understand that these findings are primarily from animal and laboratory studies. We still don’t have human studies showing that taking 3–5 g of creatine daily causes endometriosis to worsen or return after excision surgery. Here are the studies if you want to read into them yourself: 2024: Creatine and endometriosis lesion growth https://pmc.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/articles/PMC11481182/ 2025: Creatine and immune cells involved in endometriosis progression https://pubmed.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/39679878/ 2026: Scientific critique discussing limitations of the research https://doi.org/10.1002/advs.202521907 I personally take creatine and am only a few months post-endometriosis excision surgery, so this definitely caught my attention. I love the benefits of creatine, but I also don’t want to be taking something that could potentially contribute to endometriosis coming back. If anyone has looked into this research or has any thoughts, I would genuinely love to hear them, especially if you have additional studies to share. I’m not here to scare anyone away from creatine. I’m just trying to understand what the evidence actually shows so I can make an informed decision. Always open to learning and having these conversations! #Endometriosis #Creatine #EndometriosisResearch #WomensHealth #HealForReal
