Turkish Yalancı Mantı aka Turkish Ravioli Pasta made easy. Serves: 4–5 people Preparation time: 15 minutes Cooking time: 25–30 minutes ⸻ INGREDIENTS For the minced beef and pasta * 500g minced beef * 1 packet shell-shaped pasta * 1 medium onion, finely diced * 2 garlic cloves, crushed * 1 medium tomato, peeled and finely chopped * 1–2 tablespoons Turkish red pepper paste (biber salçası) * 1 teaspoon pul biber (Turkish chilli flakes) * 1 teaspoon paprika * A pinch of ground cumin * Salt, to taste * A handful of fresh parsley, finely chopped * Hot water, enough to cook the pasta * A little olive oil for frying For the garlic yoghurt * 400–500g natural or Greek yoghurt * 2 garlic cloves, crushed * A pinch of salt For the spiced red pepper butter sauce * 50g butter * 1 tablespoon Turkish red pepper paste (biber salçası) * 1 teaspoon paprika * 1 teaspoon pul biber or chilli flakes * 1 teaspoon dried mint (optional) ⸻ METHOD 1. Prepare the minced beef mixture 1. Heat a little olive oil in a large pot. 2. Add the minced beef and fry until nicely browned, breaking it up as it cooks. 3. Add the finely diced onion and two crushed garlic cloves. 4. Fry everything together until the onion softens. 5. Add the peeled and finely chopped tomato, red pepper paste, pul biber, paprika, cumin and salt. 6. Stir well and allow everything to cook together for a few minutes, letting the tomato soften and all those lovely flavours combine. 2. Add the pasta 1. Add the shell-shaped pasta directly into the pot with the minced beef mixture. 2. Stir well, ensuring the pasta is coated in the rich tomato and red pepper paste sauce. 3. Pour in enough hot water to cook the pasta. 4. Add the finely chopped fresh parsley and stir everything together. 5. Cover with a lid and simmer until the pasta is cooked and tender, stirring occasionally. 6. Add a little more hot water if needed, but be careful not to make the mixture too watery. You want a lovely rich, slightly saucy consistency. 3. Prepare the garlic yoghurt 1. Place the yoghurt into a mixing bowl. 2. Add the crushed garlic and a pinch of salt. 3. Mix until smooth and creamy. 4. Set aside until ready to serve. 4. Prepare the spiced red pepper butter sauce 1. Melt the butter in a small pan over low heat. 2. Add the tablespoon of Turkish red pepper paste and stir until combined with the melted butter. 3. Add the paprika and pul biber. 4. Add the dried mint, if using. 5. Stir gently until everything is beautifully combined and fragrant. Take care not to burn the spices. 5. Assemble and serve 1. Spoon the cooked minced beef and pasta mixture into serving bowls. 2. Generously spoon the garlic yoghurt over the top. 3. Drizzle the warm, spiced red pepper butter sauce over the yoghurt. 4. Finish with a little extra fresh parsley or dried mint if desired. #turkishfood #pasta #ravioli #foryoupage #DinnerIdeas

Initial balance backtest: the first hour's high and low breakout tested on 15 years of S&P 500 and Nasdaq futures, every session 2011-2025. Trader Dale's channel says the initial balance (the 9:30-10:30 high and low) "will breach both sides" about 20% of the time and at least one side 80% of the time, and teaches: after 10:30, a close above it means look for longs, a close below means look for shorts. We coded it that way on one-minute bars: first close outside after 10:30, enter the next minute, hold to the 15:59 close, one contract, $16.50 a round turn. His numbers: both sides broke on 28.3% of S&P days and 23.3% of Nasdaq days. Close. But at least one side broke on 97.8% (S&P) and 96.0% (Nasdaq) of days, not 80%. After a close outside, price came back through the other side about one day in four (26.3% S&P, 22.4% Nasdaq). Trading it as stated: S&P 3,612 trades, -$20,323 after costs, won 5 of 15 years; 2022 alone made +$51,102. Nasdaq +$19,684, all of it from 2022 (+$82,700). What we also ran: a stop at the middle of the first hour's range made +$49,833 on the S&P in-sample, but -$9,765 at double costs. Walked forward from 2014, re-picking the best of 12 versions each year on past years only: S&P +$27,168 (all of it 2022), Nasdaq -$67,088. Not modelled: his volume profile, prior-day levels and anything read by eye. This tests the stated rule. Takeaway: a break that happens nearly every day is not a signal by itself.
