As a nurse if it was unsafe I’d have to say something, but also as a nurse I had a patient on comfort measures whose family said she LOVED Pepsi and they knew she couldn’t drink so they got her the Pepsi chapstick I bought them a Pepsi and gave them mouth swabs told them she was too out of it to drink Pepsi but to take a mouth swab and rub her gums/cheeks/tongue.they were so excited and She died a few hours later

I used to sneak my mom some mtn dews and candy on the weekends to the nursing home even tho they said don’t do it 😭 she passed 3 weeks later and im so glad I snuck some favorite snacks to her before she passed
