Please note that there are two types of new pods: 1) those compatible with Dexcom G6/G7, and 2) those compatible with Libre 2+/3+. 🔹 Do the new pods require a new prescription? Dexcom users will not need a new prescription because the new pods have the same NDC code. Libre 3 Plus users will need a new prescription for the new Libre-compatible pods. 🔹 Do I need a new software update? Yes, the two algorithm updates comes to ALL US users — new and existing — via an over-the-air software update through your Controller or mobile app. 🔹 When do I get it? The software update rolls out via OTA update over the next few days. Access to the new 100 mg/dL target expands as compatible Pods reach pharmacies — Insulet started shipping these ahead of the rollout.
