On Tuesday morning, the Johnnies landed their first five-star recruit in 13 years, picking up a verbal commitment from top-25 wing Malachi Jordan of Prolific Prep (Calif.). The 6-foot-7 Jordan picked St. John’s over Kansas and Vanderbilt. He recently took an official visit to Queens. He is one of the premier talents in the country. St. John’s began recruiting him in the summer, and turned up the heat in the fall.
