Ça change la vie croyez moi ^^
Exposures aren’t the most important part of OCD treatment but they do help us practice the most important part of OCD treatment which is complete acceptance. Acceptance that you are and never were in control. Of so much. But especially anything your ocd thinks you should or do have control over. I have many other videos that build on how to do this and what it is but honestly the first step is to realize how unmanageable and unhelpful it is to do it any other way. If you’re seeing this message then chances are your ocd has already reached that point of unmanageability. The point where your frantic attempts to control everything is leaving you with next to nothing. So, give acceptance a try. Whether you do or don’t doesn’t change the fact that you aren’t in control so maybe it’s time to surrender that control (that you never really had) and stop white knuckling your “exposures”. Then you might see some real change. Some quick examples of acceptance: “I might be dirty” “Bad things will happen eventually” “I can’t know the answer to this” Follow and watch as many of my videos as you can if this was helpful! #acceptance #ocdproblems #contaminationocd #obsessivecompulsivedisorder #exposuretherapy
