Girls, we need to keep talking about this #perimenopause to histamine pipeline. This histamine issue is bigger than I realized! 😅👀 Histamine intolerance is an alarmingly common experience for so many of our perimenopause patients, and yet so many women have been told their symptoms are "random" or "just anxiety." So I'm turning this into a series to help shed some light on what histamine intolerance is, how to track it, and how to manage it. 🤌🏻 Here's the tricky part: there aren't any reliable tests for histamine intolerance, so we're relying on symptom patterns to figure out what's triggering your flares. That's why tracking is so powerful. Start jotting down when your symptoms show up, where you are in your cycle, what you ate, how you slept, and what your stress levels looked like. ✍🏻 Some of the most common triggers we see… 1️⃣ Hormonal fluctuations, especially around ovulation or your luteal phase
️⃣ Barometric pressure changes (October is especially brutal for some reason 😩)
️⃣ Exercise
️⃣ Stress, especially from lack of sleep
️⃣ New medications or supplements
️⃣ Food, which is one of the most common triggers. (A low histamine diet can make a massive difference, I’ll cover that later in this series) Histamine triggers can be totally different for everyone, so I'd really love to know what your histamine triggers are? 🤔 I think we can start to connect some more of these hormone/histamine dots in the comments! 👀 🩺📲 If you're in the US and curious about hormone therapy for perimenopause or menopause symptom management, go to the 🔗 in my bio to book a free 30 minute call with my team to learn how to get started. 🤗 #hormonehealth #hormonalimbalance #womenover30 #womenover40
