He might be neurodivergent and burns out quick. The fact that he keeps working but he just jumps to a different job shows he’s not lazy.

In my experience, the satisfaction for this feeling is a blue collar job. something that is different. every single day. money isn't the drive. engagement is. ADHD at its finest.

felt this to my core. I am 29 and always job hop after 1-2yrs into a new role because I get bored or they don’t pay me enough or there is no promotion for me to chase and i’m getting tired of not finding the puzzle pieces that fit. Every company I work at I feel like the outcast and soon enough I’m applying to new roles, trying to find the next best thing - I just want to make good money & have something to strive for but also not be consumed by my work.

That’s not necessarily true. Some people just want a stable quiet peaceful job.

Not gonna lie I just wish Work was fun and I don't know why it's like not supposed to be… I work in a school I dread going every single day I really don't like leaving my house ever either so it's a double whammy… Work is so lame and I'm with people I don't wanna be with and I'm doing something I don't wanna be doing and it's like pulling teeth to get myself to leave this house to go and do it

Some people aren’t wired to settle down. But we keep trying to fit into a societal box that we’re not made for. So it looks like failure.

After the excitement of a new job and change of scenery wears off I start feeling unfulfilled and like I’m wasting my potential. Then I start resenting the job because the work isn’t meaningful to me. I wish I wasn’t like this and could just stay somewhere for years and years. I’m 41 and always been like this and I hate it.

We’ve been told by society that our jobs are supposed to be our primary fulfillment. That a job is to become our “purpose” in living and life. It isn’t. A job can be fulfilling, but a it’s not our primary focus. Our primary focus are our family. Our friends. The people around us. If we make our relationships with humanity our focus, we are fulfilled wherever we are.
