Idk these results are extremely uncanny. I think the country could again swing to republican again in 2028 depending on how these next 2 years play out, especially how democrats perform in congress. I’m hearing that a lot of people voted democrat going from republican, not because the democrat ideology is the correct path, but purely out of spite/frustration of the current admin. If the Dems misinterpret this election as overwhelming support for them, to the point where they think they can safely push a radical leftist like AOC into the 2028 presidential election, I think Dems can be easily blindsided, especially if someone like Marco Rubio is the republican front runner and trump slowly gets swept to the side.

im a british so im not the most well informed in regards to US politics, but i think thomas massie would be a good republician candidate for president. he seems to be different from trump/maga, has stuck to his principles when actively denouncing trump, and would rejuvenate the republican party with something new, and he seems decent from what i have seen of him. shame he lost the primary though.

the only way i see it turning back in 2028 is if the Democrat, which will have the power fail to do anything that they promised, which they will somehow still convince people that they cant do anything because of the Republicans.

Literally, every group shifted. However, this is not unlike say, 1992 or 2008. Americans constantly let Republicans run amok then turn around and vote for Democrats to clean up the mess.
