Yo... Learning Mandarin Chinese? You need to learn the right way: solidifying your tones and pronunciation as early as possible. By doing this, you'll greatly increase the speed at which you can become fluent. In Mandarin Chinese, if you change the tone, you change the word. So, if you jump into memorizing new words too quickly, you might be memorizing everything incorrectly. Don't do that! Methodically master tones and pronunciation. That's my biggest tip. It worked for me, and Chinese ended up changing my life! In this fun video, we explore some words, like swim, oil, weasel, and more. They sound very similar, and in some cases are homophones, only distinguishable by their characters! The final phrase is pretty useless in everyday life, but an INCREDIBLE exercise for learning to differentiate tones. Can you hear the different tones in the final phrase? Can you hear the rising pitch on "yóu", the falling pitch with "yòu"? Watch a few times, or download the video to practice! Let's help you use Mandarin Chinese to positively change your life! Only one day left to join the waitlist for my Tones Master program, and receive the BEST offer I'll ever release. Visit www.TheChineseDojo.com and join that waitlist! ***DISCLAIMER ABOUT 游 (yóu)*** The character 游 (yóu) on its own can mean "to swim," "to roam," "to travel," or "to wander," depending on the context. It’s a versatile character with broader applications beyond swimming. In colloquial speech, 游泳 (yóuyǒng) is used for swimming, but 游 (yóu) on its own can be used poetically, or in formal literary scenarios. #mandarin #chinese #china #language #polyglot
