It’s a useful term. Scalper price is referring to the inorganic demand due to the artificial scarcity of scalpers… scalping. The market price wouldn’t organically be what it is if product wasn’t scalped.

Scalpers are the reason market price is unreasonably high. They drive big stores empty, then artificially set prices way above MSRP. If scalpers didn't exist, stocks would be plenty & people buy at MSRP. Horrible take & crazy to defend scalpers

Scalpers also means they buy all at once but that’s slowing down because of all the policies but for some I feel bad for sealed collectors when the want it and the cut the seal

It’s why when a card show tried to ban sealed product, I think it should be no sealed product that is in print or hasn’t been out of print for a certain amount of time.

The market price is the msrp that stores sell it at. The scalpers are the people who buy it all and re sell it to people who just want to enjoy a hobby at high prices
