Steak & Garlic Mushroom Peppercorn Sauce Flatbreads 😍 One of our fav ways to have steak is in flatbread and this version is BANGIN 👌🏼 It’s ready in under 30 mins so you can cook it for a busy weeknight dinner or a lil treat on the weekend. Salt  Black pepper  For the peppercorn sauce: 1 tsp lighter spread butter (I use Flora Lighter)
1 shallot finely diced (or ½ small white onion) 1 tsp black peppercorns, crushed
100ml beef stock
100ml single cream alternative Elmea (or reduced fat crème fraîche)
Pinch of salt  To build:
150g sliced mushrooms  1 tsp lighter spread butter (I use Flora Lighter) 1 tsp chopped garlic  2 flatbreads  2 handfuls of rocket  2 tsp crispy onions
 💕Heat a frying pan until very hot.  💕Rub the steak with salt and black pepper, then add to the frying pan. Sear for 2-3 minutes per side for medium-rare (or longer to your liking).  💕Transfer to a plate to rest, reserving the juices. Slice thinly against the grain just before serving. 💕In the same pan melt 1 tsp butter in a small pan. Add the shallot and cook until softened. 💕Stir in the crushed peppercorns, then pour in the beef stock. Simmer for 2 minutes, then stir in the cream alternative and the resting beef juices. Simmer gently until slightly thickened, then season to taste. 💕Meanwhile, heat 1 tsp butter in a clean frying pan. Add the mushrooms and cook until golden. Stir in the garlic and cook for 1 minute more. 💕Warm the flatbreads until soft. 💕Once soft, over one half, spread half of the peppercorn sauce and top with rocket.  💕Add the sliced steak along with the garlic mushrooms. 💕Drizzle over more sauce before finishing with the crispy onions.  💕Fold the flatbreads before serving.  Calories per portion: 494 l Protein: 32.7g l Fat: 22.3g l Carbs: 37g  • • _______ #fakeaway #highproteinmeals #easydinnerideas #steaktiktok #comfortfood
