We answered them. We called friends. We overheard adults making appointments, calling businesses and dealing with all kinds of boring adulty shit. And even with all that exposure, somebody still had to teach us that calling your friend and calling a doctor’s office were two very different fucking conversations. Today’s teens grew up in a completely different communication environment. That doesn’t mean we lower the expectation that they learn these skills.
