In the US you say it when you want to pronounce „gn“. As in ggggnnnnn while pushing or lifting something heavy! [Freudentränen]

not sure if it helps and its not exactly right but I kind of pronounce the 'n' as 'ng' with a soft g, and the 'h' as 'y'. so ving-yo, amang-ya etc.
